We have exciting news! We will continue to maintain our Synexis bio-defense system that we installed when we reopened in May of 2020. With this system, you are protected from harmful airborne and surface viruses, bacteria and microbials. Through this entire pandemic, we have kept the health and safety of our guests and our team at the forefront of our decision making. Recently our salon has received many inquiries of how we are moving forward with the most recent CDC guidelines that came out during the week of May 12, 2021.
The CDC and top scientists have recently determined that two weeks after individuals are fully vaccinated that they should be safe from contracting or spreading COVID-19. As such, the CDC has issued guidance which suggests that it is safe for fully vaccinated individuals to forgo the use of a mask in certain environments. Therefore, for our guests and staff who voluntarily provide evidence of being vaccinated against COVID-19, you have a choice … you may continue to wear a mask, or you may choose not to wear a mask while in the salon. Our intention is that you enjoy the same services that every other member of our community receives, but without the need to wear a face mask if you so choose.
With the CDC’s new guidance in mind, and because of the nature of a salon service and the inability to social distance within a salon environment, we are still requiring the use of face masks for those who have not been vaccinated. We have been, and will remain, open to serve our clients and our community regardless of their decision or ability to receive a COVID-19 vaccination, which practice is in compliance with Governor DeSantis’ Executive Order 21-81.
We understand that there are many opinions on this matter, and we respect everyone and their personal choice; however, health and safety being the new luxury will always be our number one priority. To that end, there are many other safety and sanitation initiatives that are being implemented as outlined below:
We are incorporating extensive new and improved sanitation practices into every aspect of our operation, including hand sanitizer infused with Aveda aroma, continual disinfection and sanitation protocols, and the completion of the Barbicide Sanitation Certification test, which all our stylists have completed. The stylists’ Barbicide Sanitation Certificates are posted on their styling station. We offer AVEDA infused sanitation spray for every guest to use upon arrival at the salon.
Upon arrival at the front door, for your protection and the protection of our other guests and staff, your temperature will be taken prior to entering the building for services. If you have a temperature of 100.4 degrees or above you will be required to reschedule your appointment, as we will not be able to provide your service that day. Likewise, if one of our staff arrives with a fever, they will be sent home until fever-free and management deems it safe for all to return to the salon.
Our hours of operation have been extended until further notice to be sure we may accommodate our guests:
We ask that you arrive for your appointment no more than a few minutes before your appointment time unless you need to shop for products in advance of your service.
All guests and staff who voluntarily provide proof of COVID-19 Vaccination (last shot a minimum of 2 weeks prior) have the OPTION to go without a mask in the salon & barbershop. If staff has been vaccinated, but you would like them to still wear a mask, they will be happy to do so! If you do not arrive with a mask and need one, or if you prefer to wear a disposable one, we will provide one for you. Currently that is offered complimentary.
Shields are optional for stylists and barbers to use in addition to their mask while performing the shampoo portion of your service.
Because of our Synexis bio-defense system, we are able to offer our full service cut and color luxury experience, which includes a complimentary shampoo and blow dry. We are able to continue to provide an amazing scalp massage during your relaxing time at the shampoo bowl. This might just be the best few minutes of your day!
At this time, we still encourage touchless greetings and goodbyes.
Cut and color clients will receive a sanitized cape for their service. Cut guests will also receive a Sanek strip if needed, and color clients may receive a sanitized color robe upon request. These items will be placed over your garments.
The following services remain suspended during this time, until it is deemed safe by the CDC:
Please only bring your essentials into the salon and barbershop like your purse/wallet, keys, and phone. Please do not bring any extra guests with you who are not receiving a service, including children. No pets will be permitted in the salon.
To respect the time of all of our valued guests and our service providers, Aveda on 3rd requests a 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule salon appointments. Appointments that are cancelled or rescheduled without 24-hour notice will be charged in full. We understand that unavoidable issues come up and will do our best to work with you in the case of an emergency.
